sorry I replied late.
i’ve never given pointers to anyone before. i guess it doesn’t matter what camera you use as long as you know how to use it, and if things deviate a little from what you planned, it helps if you know some basic Photoshop to put it back on track. The rule of thirds isn’t something I strictly follow but you should try using that as well (google it!). Then I guess it’s up to looking at photos taken by others that you like, and finding a pattern between all those photos to keep in mind next time you’re holding the camera.
